World class fishing ranging from protected beaches and bays, estuaries, lakes, to deep sea reef and game fishing. Commonly targeted fish include Luderick, Snapper, Bream, Flathead, GTs, Kingfish and many many more. Just down the road you will find fantastic Whiting fishing for the kids on Nelsons Beach, book onto a professional fishing trip or hire a boat for a day on the bay. There are also loads of opportunity for safe land based fishing from the beaches and rocks.

Whales often take refuge in Jervis Bay for a rest during their migration. The entrance to the bay is also an excellent location to view whales from the high sea cliffs. If the whales aren't in season, take the opportunity to tour the bay and have a close up experience with the resident dolphins who live in the bay 12 months in the year. There are a number of award winning tour providers operating all year. It is also common to see the dolphins just off Plantation Point or Nelsons Beach.

A range of equipment, tours and courses are available from beginner courses and trips to the challenges of paddling the open waters below the highest ocean cliffs in Australia. Paddling silently through the crystal clear water, don't be supervised if you have a close up experience with the resident dolphins who cruise the bay 12 months of the year.

Enjoy a huge variety of local walks and National Park trails including the White Sands Walk starting at the end of the street. Booderee National Park has fantastic walks ranging from trails leading through old growth forests that lead to secluded beaches and bays, to heathland and wetland trails and boardwalks. For something different try the Mangrove Boardwalk at Huskisson.
